Beginning and end of this great trip was Nice, a city big enough for all tastes.  We preferred the old town.

 Hotel de L'epante-  Call (33) 04.93.62.20.55 and  ask for Pierre for quality service that seems like home.

Check out the 12th century Monastery high up over the city with a view over the sea. 













ANTIBES  with it's Roman sea wall and church built out of ancient fortifications at front and back dating back to the XIII th Century and before.

These are genuine Roman bricks on top of the seawall.

FREJUS old Roman tower built into city storefronts.  We went past aqueduct on way in.
